Raw Material Procurement
The process begins with the procurement of high-quality clay, the primary raw material for all terracotta products.
Clay Preparation
Once the clay is procured, it undergoes thorough cleaning to remove any impurities such as stones or organic matter. The cleaned clay is then mixed with water to achieve the right consistency.
Molding
The prepared clay is then shaped into desired forms using molds.
Drying
After molding, the terracotta pieces are air-dried to remove most of the moisture.
Glazing
Depending on the product, a glaze may be applied to the surface of the bisque-fired terracotta for aesthetic purposes or to create a waterproof finish.
Final Firing
After glazing, the terracotta pieces undergo a second firing to fuse the glaze to the clay body.
